The late Mr Nicholas Alerich passed away on August 27 1936 at the Wooroloo Sanatorium. Mr Alerich was born in Dalmatia. For some years he resided on the Goldfields and 16 years ago with his wife and family he settled on the Millendon estate on the Swan. where he carried on business as a vigneron. The esteem in which the deceased was held was shown by the large number of relatives and friends who attended the funeral, which took place in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Karrakatta.

Nikola Alerić was born December 6 1880 in Poljica near Vrgorac. He was the son of Toma Alerić and Ruža Ravlić. He arrived in Fremantle on the vessel RMS Orient in February 1906 via Naples.
Marija Alerić nee Vuinac was born in 1894 in Zaostrog, Dalmatia.
Nikola and Marija had five children:
Thomas (1914-1969) born in Kalgoorlie.
Naida (1915-1984) born in Boulder WA. Naida married Ivan Kraljević (1907-2004) who first arrived in Sydney on the SS Moncalieri in June 1924.
Faye (1917-2004) born in Kalgoorlie. Faye married Petar Matijašević (1915-1992) who arrived in Fremantle on the SS Oronsay in March 1927.
Rose Marie (1919-2009) born in Boulder WA. Rosemary married Herbert Edward Butler (1918-1993).
Mary (1921-1989) born in Kalgoorlie. Mary married Lenard (Len) Joseph Turner from Midland WA (1914-1985)
